I'm optimistic about the future and would like to work for AE.......I too have a decent job, and folks think I'm crazy for pursuing an airline career. But I've gone years on a ramen noodle diet, and at that time, the only thing I was flying was the flag of discontent. experience is experience even if all I get is an interview.
My interview was Dec 20th. I have 516TT 50Multi. I had an internal rec, and knew who to pester for an interview. Whole lotta good that did me. LOL. I fly periodically for the company I current spin wrenches for. Looks like i'm gonna keep on keeping on......

Oh but dont worry... a massive pilot shortage on the way.
This shortage is such BS its not even funny. A slow down in people working for abusive QOL and wages maybe-and that is best case scenario. Shortage? HA! I keep talking to guys with X hours Total Time and Y hours Multi...just licking their chops for a shiny jet, and their rationale as to why they should get the job?.......Almost always its because they are willing to do it for less than the current pilot group! Oh lovely! Nothing like less than poverty wages! Keep dreaming about your dream job. Oh, you know the women will swoon your shiny jet. And split when they find out the truth of your paycheck!
