Agree with you this seems to be a "hobby" for some, but not for all!
If you take a close look at it, AE isn't much better: 25/h to start flying 30-50 pax +huge uncertainty against 19/h for GIA/Silver flying a 19 seater... and 1 year upgrade apparently!

I left my first 135 gig because they were losing business, unfortunately. I left my second for the regionals for QOL reasons, can you believe it? The QOL things actually are working out, so I am happy with the switch. That and I have someone to talk to when I am flying for a change!

The saab is easier to fly then the Q400 anyway. it takes less skill and expertise therefore less pay.
