If you absolutely have to be in Europe in June, I'd wait to accept any class date until after that. The chances of it all working out as you've laid it out are slim to non-existent and would, more than likely, require you to choose between your job and Europe.

Just call in sick and buy your ticket on a non affiliated airline.

I agree with juice. But if you must, do not do any jumpseating after calling in sick. Your airline will be able to see if you were checked in CASS.

Thank you everyone for good advice and confirming what I was expecting.

The case is that me and my wife got married in December in PA. I'm from Norway and we where planing on having a wedding ceremony there as well for the family and friends that could not make it to PA.

The reason we are moving to PHL is that my wife's family lives in Chester County - so we would like to be closer to them. It is not an option to move anywhere else.

I am applying to other airlines then just those with a PHL base since I cant know for sure if I would get hired by AirWis, Republic etc. I would love to be picky, but I honestly just want a job ASAP. Things are not very stable at my flightschool now, my boss has resigned etc. And it gets to a point when you work as a instructor when you've just had enough. I'm not quite there, I still enjoy the flying part - it's just the frustration with some of the 18 year old students that don't give a $h|t - and I am ready to move on to something bigger and hopefully better. I know it is going to be hard work at the regionals and take a toll on us, but I've worked many a 90 hour weeks with 18 hour shifts several days in a row waiting tables without breaks for a long time before.... And I've mentally prepared myself that it is not going to be easy.

I've done lots of thinking today - and our future is more important than a party. We can always have that ceremony. Talked to my parents who are hosting it, and they agree as well. The solution is to move the ceremony to next year....

Get on with RAH and on the Shuttle side. They're really good about trying to help you out. I know many speak bad about the place but they've never been anywhere else.

Whats with these low posters being so out of touch with reality?

First, a Feb 2012 join date comes on here to post about a petition to stop the ATP legislation, then this guy is demanding days off before even having the job. On top of all this, Gojet is the first airline on his list.

I don't get it.

You made my day buddy :) Can I give you a hug?

I met with GoJet at the regional job fair here at MCO, and really loved the people and what they presented. Now if I don't apply to them, I would deff. not have a chance to get hired. But by submitting an application there at least is a small chance they will give me a ring. It's like all the people talking about winning the lottery, but have not even bought a bliiiping ticket!

I am a YES MAN! and a can do, will happen kinda guy! Half glass full if you like?

I'd hardly compare gojet to winning a lottery. Search this forum and see why most will advise you NOT to go to gojet.

Yeah, holding a line right off of IOE with a three month upgrade really stinks.

If you think a job at GoJet is winning the lottery, stop what you are doing. Do not make any life altering decisions until you get some education. Your SA on the industry seems to be lacking and before you make major career decisions, you need to get your SA to match more closely to reality.

And now that GoJet was mentioned, this thread’s life is limited. Just a reminder, if we say anything negative about GoJet, anything about how it was created, or even posts “in before the lock”, we get banned. Wait, is acknowledging the fact that mentioning GoJet will likely end in the thread being locked the same as saying “in before the lock”? I hope not!
