Colgan Class Canceled
#21
Honestly, nobody can for sure say what this all means.
However, I will say that there is NO hotel space available in MEM right now (at least not at the price the company's willing to pay). I say so since I'm transitioning to Pineapple right now and some of us almost didn't have rooms. The most recent transition class had to be split between three different hotels due to crazy occupancy. I spoke to our training scheduler in person because we're having to take a very long van ride to the training center right now due to no hotels being available in the area. He said hotels are completely booked for the next couple of months. I spoke to some hotel staff and they concurred.
Also, I personally spoke to one of the guys who does interviews and also saw him conducting interviews for Colgan around four days ago in MEM.
Like I said...I'm not trying to imply anything. I'm just saying what I've experienced.
It might really be bad news or it may just be other issues. Who knows.

Really just some crew room banter. But came from someone who has been right with the news he gives usually a couple of days before it goes public. So take it for what it's worth.

This Friday or next Friday at the absolute latest. Would've been last Friday but they didn't get the paper work done in time, which isn't surprising knowing this company. The company stopped working with the union about 3 weeks ago if you ask your negotiating reps, and menkles in particular wants nothing to do with the pilot group now that the scare tactics didn't work. He was going to file all along to restructure, he was just hoping for an extra 5% off the top before the courts get to it for supporting evidence of "we tried to work with them" to support his case against those greedy labor unions.
