I would argue the aircraft systems of a B777 or AI equivalent are considerably more sophisticated and complex than those on a B727 or B707. Pilots just are trained in the "nuts and bolts" and can't control them to the systems like they could in the old planes. Thirty years ago, pilots, not just flight engineers, were schooled in AC generators and CSDs, wobble plates and variable displacement hydraulic pumps.

What does this mean Cruz? What happened during your IOE?
What happened to your beloved Silver Airways?

No ppl are wound really tight here and it's funny to rile them up. If you make it to IOE you will be fine. Enjoy yourself as much as you can life is too short and going out to the islands is a different experience compared to flying up North. Both are interesting in their own ways and I honestly couldn't choose one over the other.

Why would you go from an RJ to right seat in a 1900?
