Pinnacle isn't exactly where Comair was exactly 5 years ago.
However, Pinnacle pilots are looking at a shifty management team (in-house and in ATL) that think employees have leveraged too much pay for themselves, too many 50-seaters that Delta wants to dump, and competetors willing to do the same flying for cheaper if they can only have your airplanes.
Other than that, we don't have much in common.

This is outrageous. According to the local newspaper, they received raises because it turns out that the job was harder than SM thought. Hm, as a former CEO of a company that went through bankruptcy, you would think he could recognize that 9E was headed that way. In fact, it would seem that was what he was brought in for.
The CFO is gone and now two very highly paid executives have to shoulder his responsibilities- boo hoo. What about the added responsibilities of all the people that have been laid off over the past few months? Someone is now doing their jobs in addition to their own. How many times have you helped a co-worker or flat out covered for them, simply in the interest of keeping the operation going? Did you ask for a raise? Would you have gotten one if you did?
The audacity required to do this is immesurable. There are people in operational control positions that are on food stamps and yet they ask for concessions to keep the company out of bankruptcy?
They laid off people, some with years of service to the company, with three days notice and no severance. To fund these raises?
Some have mentioned that talent isn't cheap and you have to pay for it in order to keep it. I completely agree. Here's an idea though-why don't you support talent on the front lines? Without those people, you have nothing. I've seen no evidence of talent with regards to SM. What precisely has he done to ensure that the operation continues?
As a former 9E employee, I support you guys. I have many friends still with the company and I am simply appalled at this.
Fight back. Don't take this level of degradation.
I heard that headquarters is currently being wallpapered with the news article about SM's raise. Good. I hope it's true. Everyone needs to know that this is the type of person that's taking money out of your pockets.
Stay strong, guys!
