so since the 9e -900's are going to GoJetsss that means the pilots go with them right? ;)
|
How about that integrated seniority list?
I offer my condolences to all the XJ and 9E pilots who are going to be furloughed because of this. |
The point was the writing was clear on the wall, and yet the personal attacks flew. Now that it's true, you change your tune? Good luck to all, if you've been following my threads, 99% of it came true. Not proud to say that by any means, as lots will be affected by upcoming displacements, downgrades, furloughs.

Guys, I'm really sorry to hear this... I've got a couple of friends at Colgan, and whenever we've had jumpseaters from Pinnacle/Colgan they were always a class act.
I know it's not much, but SkyWest is hiring and I'd be glad to help anybody out that wants to get on here. What a freaking mess this industry is... |

But don't worry Shy, you were right. Now go tell you mommy that your were right but the kids at the playground are still being mean to you. |

This probably isn't too far from the truth, the 900's are going to somebody, Delta will not want to lose some of it's 76 seat flying. The problem is they will most likely go the the lessor and then on to GoJet or Skywest which means no pilots with the planes |
Awww man! Who the #$% woke shyguy up?

Wonder what sick calls are going to look like the next few days?

So what's your excuse gonna be when December 31st passes and we're still chugging along, huh? We're all DYING to hear it!

No, that's another thread, you quoted the wrong thread. The thread you quoted was the one posted on Jan 31, 2012. It's scary that the rumors flying around back then have now come to be 100% true. Since there's nothing new to add that I didn't already post in December and January, I'm going to bow out of this thread. There's no point reposting things that were already posted once.
pretty sure you meant bankruptcy by Dec 31 according to the title... |

Still gonna be ****** sandwich though. Best of luck to everybody..... |

I could see SKW making a play for Horizon, then United getting it's Q400 feed from Horizon. The other option would be RAH.
RAH: Not doing to good (might have a larger pilot pool now from Eagle & Pinnacle) SKW: Not Making money right now and looks like it will have the most expensive labor moving forward Eagle: Will get spanked by AMR (Future up in the air, or grounded depends how you look at it) Pinnacle: Just filled Are we really going to see SKW and RAH control the regional market moving forward, ladies and gentlemen we are in for an epic summer and not in a good way... I was about to take a break from Eaglelounge and APC. Now I can't :( |

My original estimate was based on losing Qs and Saabs. With the 900s I'd estimate 400-450. Two things to keep in mind. During a scheduling recurrent with planning last November, they said the utilization on the DL side had been pulled down for 2012 to help with the training bubble. Colgan was staffing 3 per seat and Pinnacle 4 per seat under the old contracts. With the new contract more reserves are needed due to the new junior manning policies so the staffing numbers will have to be increased to 5 or maybe 6 per seat per aircraft which should mitigate the furloughs. Pinnacle was way, way understaffed before and is understaffed at present for the aircraft on property.

Sorry to hear that guys and gals. Been there, done that. Keep your heads up and be proud you didn't give in to the management requests to fund the executives pay raises with your cash. Stay strong and take care of each other. Ch 11 really stinks, but there is life on the other side

Is Delta taking back all the CRJ-900 flying?

Made sense to change all the uniforms to black and gold just to be F-bombed..........

Interesting information from the fact sheet:
19. Did the Company try to get a DIP loan from anybody else? The Company and its advisers reached out to nearly 20 different parties seeking a DIP loan. After numerous discussions with DIP lenders, it became clear that due to the Company’s lack of collateral, the ability to obtain a loan from a traditional DIP lender was impossible. They simply weren’t willing to take the risk of loaning money to a company in Chapter 11 with little to no collateral to back the loan. So apparently we tried to get traditional DIP financing but were denied because we had no collateral (assets). Looks like the only thing that saved us from liquidation was Delta's desire to keep Pinnacle around to compete with other regionals........ |
I wonder how long it will take before Menke announces we are moving out of the Ivory Tower and back to a cheaper location near the airport....

its the Beer can of the future. AA is on a path to be an all jet airline. Delta is trying to do the same. Even USAIR is on this road. No one wants to ride on a turbo prop, esp after the crash in 2008.

Tell that to all the loyal Horizon customers (which there are a ton of). Or all of the oil rough necks flying in and out of Williston on Great Lakes. Passengers don't care. Its about the customer service provided and managing the airline properly.

reading the faqs on the company site, thank god for the jcba and the language brought over from the measaba and old pcl contracts. if you didnt notice, all fas, mechanics etc will have to reapply for any vacancies at pinnacle and start over as new hires. no moving expenses, no furlough protections, year one pay etc. once the colgan cert is done, any remaining non pilot furlough will be terminated. this is going to suck for us all. we thought 11-09 was a mess. enjoy the 250k menke.

I'm just wondering how you get "labor concessions" out of RJ drivers making peanuts and living on the same.
The RJ industry is facing very serious survival challenges in the long run and it's all driven by one primary factor and that is the cost of petroleum. No matter how one angles on the sudden about face in this business, you'll come back to fuel prices in the long range strategic plans the majors are making for survival in the $150+ per barrel oil era. In the end they'll be a handful of RJ operators left, albeit much larger and consolidated just like the majors. Folks this is a Darwinistic business process that cannot be stopped and has been going on through peaks and troughs for decades. This is The Airline Industry. Lions, tigers and bears oh my. |

was true. The personal attacks were uncalled for. Anyway, no point crying over spilled milk. Good luck to all. Do you have a website? Because I really need some photos to enhance my wanking. |
