I think the only equipment that is staffed right now is the CR7 in ATL, so expect your class to fill up the openings in DTW, IAD, DFW, and CRJ200 ATL. Welcome aboard and good luck in training.

Company has already stated that DFW will be a CRJ base.

Don't count on CR2 in ATL. The DFW opening will create many displacements in Atlanta.

I would like Dulles for commuting reasons etc. but if we filled DFW think there would be better chances of getting lines, or will everyone bid there and end up with the same spot on reserve eventually.

It's too hard to tell at this point. I think you have a good chace of getting any domicile except ATL out of training. I think that all 3 of those domiciles will be junior for FOs (DFW will be senior on the CA side).

Commuting from ATL to IAD is not easy. Ask me how I know.

I had considered Heading over there, is the commute worse than DTW?

About 10 days ago received a phone call for an interview in the middle of Oct. I was told it is hiring for a pool. I'm aware things change rapidly, but the comments to me were "most likely early next year". Btw, was told no guarantee on equipment.

Don't let that fool you! When I got hired at ASA a couple years ago I interviewed mid/end October and we were told we'd be placed in a pool and no class until the new year. They decided to run a class in November, and 2 weeks later was in class.

New-hire classes are pretty last minute around here. Interview and be ready! With the merger and ERJ side now, the chances of getting in a class sooner are better, unless you want a certain base and/or equipment.

Last few new-hires classes went to all three bases ATL/DTW/IAD. What will happen with DFW remains to be seen until the bid comes out.

Don't know, but its the return to ATL that's always really hard.
