I understand, my friend. How do you think my employer and all of the pilots felt when L-UAL said BYEEEE and gave all our flying, which we flew for a couple decades, to mostly gojets and some others?

It's good to be grounded regarding the reality of the future. Sounds like you are. Hopefully more will begin to understand that afte living like that for awhile, the E-175 (or equivalent) isn't really that shiny after all.

Isn't it about time we all seriously consider a national senority list? Or a national regional specific union.. If this latest round of turmoil doesn't make the case, what's it going to take?

It's going to take SOOOO much more than we (the pilots) are capable of.. Money talks louder than we do, my man..

BTW: You don't want to see some of the comments on the company website. Way too many "Hurray", "Yeah" and "Great job getting this flying" comments, mostly from FAs and various ground personnel.

The downside is that once this model is in place, everyone ends up being the side that "sucks". In the not to distant future, that reality will be back around to tap you on the shoulder and you'll have decide how cheap you're willing to work for or watch your flying shifted elsewhere.
You're on top this go around, so enjoy it, but within 4 years someone else will be repeating your words back to you on this forum.

Why anyone holds any kind of resentment towards any other group of pilots is beyond me. It's not like the pilots went in and took your flying. We are all just chess pieces in this big game being moved around by management without any control over our next move.
If anything you could be resentful to the management group of the other company, but why anyone would feel resentment to other pilots is beyond me. Everyone is here to work and to make money, which in itself is laughable because nobody is making any money. The cake goes around the room. One time you get it, the next time it's someone else and you're left with an empty plate. That is why everyone who has their head on straight should be trying to get out of the regionals, or get out of this sh**ty industry all together.

That's how the industry functions, haven't you realized this yet? The regionals didn't start operating yesterday.

As an XJT guy, I just can't get too excited about gaining on someone elses loss. I can't speak for everyone but I believe most of us feel the same way.

Nice idea in theory, but the above example demonstrates it's hopeless in reality.
