Jetjok, are u passed 60? just asking cuz it says 727 s/o, formerly md-11 CA. If this is true, then you are my idol. wow, choose to still stick with it even if the laws wont let you be CA or F/O? That's admirable man, seriously. As much as a goal it is for me to have a career as a pilot and cherish it for as long as i can, i dont know if i could do that.

my favorite is when the paxs get on and ask "Is this plane safe?" I always would like to reply, "No, its a death trap and I have a death wish. Now go sit down."

Well it has not been what was said to me, but what was done to me two nights ago

My wife and I went to go buy a new car, and we sat down to work the numbers and get the financing, and he asked what I did for a living, I said prof Pilot, and he dropped my interest rate 3 percent on the spot.

Never told him I was a flight instructor though, that would just be bad business

friggen pax....this has to be one of the most entertaining forums yet!!! Keep it coming! How about when they ask "how many hours do you have?" I wonder how many I have to say before they feel safe.....500, 1000, 2000......50?? Definetly agree though that ALL pax turn of their brains when they enter an airport....and they get their brain back at baggage claim!

Here's a good one I heard from a flight attendant the other day as the pax were boarding.

A pax in a very condecending tone: "this sure is a small airplane". To which the F/A repplied, "well obviously is big enough for your town as we have 5 seats open, watch your head"

Her beer was covered the whole four day!

I love when I try to explain to people that FedEx pilots (and alike) get paid more than most airline "people moving" pilots. They always ask how that is possible. The quick explaination of, "boxes are worth more than people until they die", usually ends the conversation. Even then insurance on the boxes can usually close the gap.

One of my students (I am a CFI) asked me if I was working on my commercial license. "I already HAVE my commercial." "Then why are you working as a CFI?"

I was telling my family that I was looking for an airline job and they were all shocked. "You mean that they let people who learn in small planes fly the big ones?"

I like taking people IFR in GA airplanes. "How do you not get lost?" "They let these planes fly in the clouds?" "How do you know that the real planes won't hit you?"
