From what I've found the MRJ 70STD will have a MGTOW of around 82,000 lbs and a range of 820 NMs. The MRJ 70ER is planned to be a MGTOW of 85,969 lbs and a range of over 1400 NMs. I'm hoping the 70ER will end up being over 86,000 lbs, so places like TSH & Skywest are stuck with 800 NM airplanes.

There are other ways without UAX.

Not many. Us Air, maybe Alaska. But even Us Air is limited and already capped out. AMR will likely end up with the 86,000 lbs restriction as well.

I think Bozo meant using larger aircraft with "codesharing" rather than "UAX", or "Delta Connection", or "American Eagle"....That is probably the next step in this evolution....

Bingo, it would require regionals to expand out and do thier own ticket sales, but otherwise that is the most likely next step around current contracts.

Current contracts are wising up to this, though.

It would make the Regionals go back to their roots. Some of the Regionals started this way selling seats on their flight to mainline. ASA made big bucks back then. ML doesn't want to carry the debt anymore.

There was more to the XE purchase than just CAL cpas.

Really? Which ones. Several allow a corp. to have 2 airlines. One that flys larger a/cs than scope and then the regional ones.
