It's possible AWAC may grow UA feed similar to CommutAir. That is the only way they're going to attract any meaningful amount of new hires. IMO. Otherwise AWAC is just another carrier with long upgrades and little movement except for attrition.
FOs leaving for Piedmont will still upgrade within a few months vs years at AWAC and a new hire will most likely flow to AA before one will upgrade at AWAC. With the fleet size shrinking even more you're going to see an even higher amount as a percentage of lifer CAs sitting on their butts especially with the Midwest bases coming up.

Only 35 away, but how many people have upgraded in the last two years?? And now that we are scheduled to fly even fewer airplanes, I don't see any major changes for the next year or so. 5 year upgrade is our biggest recruiting hurdle right now, and won't change unless the CPP is the magic we all hope it is.

I was 20 away for almost a year before I left. I got an upgrade faster by leaving. The lifer to aircraft ratio is out of hand there!

Well, 17 CAs and 15 FOs have left for March. I don't think we're even staffed for 50 planes. As we can grow back, the upgrade time will definitely come down a ton, especially with all the relatively senior FOs who left.
