Navtech. They are not as good as Jepps, but they are fine. It sometimes takes some hunting to find stuff on airports we don't fly into a lot.

NAVBLUE.

Not as nice as Jepp, but better than manual revisions or carrying 20lbs worth of paper.

My last post this subject. If I offended anyone in my previous posts I sincerely apologize that was certainly not my intent.

My point is in reference to this particular new hire class, (not others in the past where one or two washed out) five out of six people washed out and that's indicative of a problem either in their hiring and or training program or both.

Since I was fairly hands-on the entire time my friend was in the training pipeline at each stage of the training process. I can tell you he worked his tail off and had an outstanding attitude and in
my humble opinion was making tremendous progress and very close to passing his checkride. I can't speak for any of the other students so it's possible he got lumped in with a group of weak classmates and Air Wisconsin decided just to cut their losses by letting the remaining five people go.

Anyways, best of luck to the Air Wisconsin pilots, I know you guys of have been through a lot.

Yes our instructors are the worst! They have tasers and stun guns. And if you do something stupid, they'll use them on you! They'll also burn you with soldering irons!

Ha ha
In all seriousness, show up prepared. Study Study Study!! Have a great attitude and enthusiasm to learn and ask questions. Every instructor I've dealt with wants to see everyone succeed. They will do whatever they can within reason to help.

We plan to hire between 250 and 300 pilots this year, with just as many planned for next year. With this rapid workforce expansion, we expect to accelerate upgrade times to 18-24 months. I know many of you are thinking, “How is this possible, I’m a 5 year FO”. We have ran many different models that show the number of years to upgrade dramatically decreasing. This is due to the amount of pilots we are looking to hire and the large gap between 1-2 year FOs and 4-5 year FOs.

You can help accelerate this by referring pilots to Air Wisconsin. If they are selected you will receive a bonus of $4,000 in referral money in accordance with our referral policy.

The good news is, the number of candidates interested in Air Wisconsin continues to steadily rise. Our recruiters are very busy as we are running 2 to 3 interview sessions each week. The size of these interviews vary, but are usually between 5 and 12 candidates per session.

HA..... that's all I have to say.
