Word has it that, Alaska Airlines didnt like hiring Horizon pilots because it creates an additional training cycle. If thats true, then it could possibly be true that for an AE pilot to go to AA outside the flow through it wouldn't be "cost effective" for AA. But then again, with all the displacements at AE, AMR has always stated that "training cycles aren't seen as an additional costs". If an AA pilot was head of AA hiring, I would bet that they wouldn't care to bring Eagle pilots over. It's like older brother hanging out with his annoying younger brother in middle school. He will pretend he doesnt know you.
