Every American Eagle pilot who is on the American Eagle pilot seniority list as of October 11, 2011 will be offered a job as an American Airlines pilot in the future. American Eagle pilots hired under a settlement agreement will not be subjected to a pre-employment interview or pre-employment medical examination prior to transferring to American.
What about those hired after 10/11/11? No flow thru at all?

Anyone hired after 10/11/11 won't have preferential hiring. Anyway, I'm around 2400ish number in AE and before I can go to AA I would have to wait at least 4 to 5 years of constant movement.
I'm out of Eagle once some hire me, I'm not going to wait to get a call from AA (which can get my whole career).

I'm mid-list (1500ish) and I think I would have to wait out 5 years of constant hiring to move to mainline via this agreement. I think at 2400 you're looking at closer to ten. Of course attrition to other places will change that some, as would any slowing of hiring at AA.
IOW, this is not really a consideration for a newhire anyway. Come to Eagle, get some good training and work with good folks in a decent operation, but keep your resume up to date if this isn't your dream job. Of course, they could work a new agreement to entice more newhires, that wouldn't surprise me at all. Unfortunately the only value is in an actual number on the mainline list (as opposed to a pref hiring promise), and that's pretty unlikely IMO.

I remember in the early 2000's guys at continental express would quit just so they could get hired at cal without waiting
For the flow. Worked for a Ton of guys including my cousin. I'm sure there are some guys that it backfired on, however.

is it still possible to apply to AA and get hired (as an Eagle pilot) as a "outside applicant" versus waiting for the flow thru
I seem to remember this happened in the 90s. Dont know about now

The date was October 10 not 11. And even if they were offering it, look at how long it took the guys to ACTUALLY go. They had broken promises for years. So be careful even if it did exist. If it WAS there I would take it with a grain of salt.
