Just because they are furlough from Pinnacle doesn't mean they don't have an income and don't have money to travel around the world. At the job fair in Chicago in Sept, there were many furlough Comair guys there. I'm sure the travel benefits they got to keep helped them get there. There's more to it than using it for vacation.
I don't think I hated my parents enough to put them through the hell of flying Pinnacle's parent standby priority on Delta. .

A cabin service animal would get a seat before a Pinnacle parent.

It's being sold as one more reason to vote "yes," and a weak one at that. If past history is any indication, I'd wager furloughed Pinnacle pilots would go on either the same boarding priority as current pilots' parents travelling without the employee or even lower. Which, as was mentioned, puts you one step above ZED and ID90.

Once again, if you don't work for Pinnacle, stop telling us how to vote.
Why should'nt other DCI pilots have any input on the vote?

You are so short sighted that you dont see that this will torpedo all other dci carriers. XJET is in contract negotiations...you don't think your vote will effect that?

How many more livelihood are at stake besides your OWN?

Considering the vast majority of Pinnacle pilots could end up at another carrier regardless of yes or no vote they should all care.

If you vote yes you most likely destroy the quality if life at your next carrier.

Where is the upside to voting yes for any FO or junior Captain at Pinnacle. Your job is gone. Don't give management everywhere the precedent to destroy your next job too.

It doesn't matter what the reason is. If I was furlough, I would still want it to travel to other interviews that didn't provide travel to and from the interview.

You can say what you want but it's not going to help with the way most of us vote. I didn't go tell the Delta guy how they should vote, when I know the outcome will affect Pinnacle and other DCI.

Just remember this: read the TA the way you would any TA coming from 9E. Read it as if you were management trying to get out of any language that would make your life more difficult while at the same time enforcing language that makes it easier to run the airline. Look for the loopholes.

If you find yourself saying things like "Well, I guess what they mean is this" or "Yeah, but they probably won't interpret it that way," then back away.

Really? So when we vote no and we shut down and are on the street, you gonna personally go to your LEC and try to get your brothers and sisters DOH on your list? I mean because we voted no, took a stand, stomped our feet for the better of other DCI carriers right. Are you that stupid? This is Delta. You think because we vote no and take a stand they are gonna be scared and come to XJet and say man, we are scared, here's everything you want. It's always easy to criticize from the outside. We already have enough stress dealing with our own families and how we are gonna get through all this. We don't need stress from our own peers.

Well said, they were also the ones who were bragging about getting Comair's airplanes.

Care to quote me on that? I'm having a hard time remembering where I said that.
