I haven't had the chance to vote yes/no on union representation yet, because it never got to that point. Koolaid drinker? Hardly.

Besides, union representation at the regional level, what good has it done? Look at 9E's story. Then look at perhaps arguably the best run (and paid) regional airline in the country, Skywest. They are non-union, and look where they are today despite the industry struggles. A union at the regional level has virtually zero leverage, because they are doing contract feed, and it can be given away to the lowest bidder. In negotiations, you fight and gain with leverage. Without leverage, there's nothing to fight with.
So you think that 9E would have fared better in this bankruptcy if they decertified?

So you think Virgin America will be shut down by 2015-2016?

9E would have never gotten to this point if they had decertified long ago, 1 yr after the amendable date for example. The 2006 "last and final best offer" would have become the contract, and would have served under that from 2006 to 2011, instead of the 1999 contract from 2006 to 2011. Not to mention, the 1999 CBA was a jets jobs contract to ensure 9E would be the launch customer of the CRJ for Northwest, at wages lower than Mesaba.
