American Eagle Pipeline Instructor Program
#33
Just two free roundtrips a year saving that CFI around $400-700 is still an incentive. It is really not that far fetched, it will attract people to Eagle. So long as Eagle can hire it'll stay alive. The people at the top of the seniority list (excluding the super old and crusty captains) will flow to the new American, the guys in the middle will sharpen their pencil and go elsewhere (although I'm sure some will stick around and enjoy captain pay for a couple years) and the guys at the very bottom will eventually move up as the new hires come onboard. Movement will happen, just not any faster than any other airline. Those EMB145s and CRJs aren't coming to rest anytime soon. AMR is to cheap to let the rest go.

I agree it is progress. Guarenteeing a flight instructor a job is great news. However, even if they don't travel a lot there are a lot of flight instructors out there, it adds up. Giving them priority over others is something I don't agree with.

Why not if it's a CPA? They own every seat in the back it is THEIR choice to dish out the pass travel as they want.

Yes it is. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Travel benefits these days aren't all that great anyways. If it's an individual traveling it's good. Any more than one person trying to travel your better off buying tickets.

It's anyone's guess. I meet or exceed all the requirements they have posted and I have yet to get an interview. Must have something up their sleeves.
