There has been no news of new aircraft. Yet. And it will take close to a year to get them on line from the go flag.

Also, while there still may be more than the first 50 displacements in the ORD CRJ, perhaps a lot more displacements from ORD, they have a long way to go; There are a lot of CRJ pilots in ORD, and it is the biggest CRJ base at the moment. This looks like a very slow motion draw down, it won't happen overnight anyway.
And I am not sure that the new management even knows what they want to do yet with Eagle, ORD, the E175 or CRJ7. Certainly having all these other US Air Express carriers added into the fray changes things significantly.

Yes, is almost imposible, but it can be done.

well you can request to drop and if staffing is available they will approve but you never know what the staffing level requirement is, so it is a shot in the dark.

This is union bull crabs at its finest. How about USAIR management comes in this fall and does whatever they like, and puts things where they want, and takes our fleet plan and throws it out. Thats a serious concern. We already are showing the signs of 'this is what it looks like to take someone who does all your feed, and shrink them down to nothing over a decade.' The most important part was step one, how do you take someone who does all your feed and not upset them while shrinking them......Well here it is, THANKS TONY!

I get my drop requests approved nearly 100% of the time. Entire trips, turns, individual days, and even Reserve days when I bid RSV.

This is in the DFW base. Not sure how staffing levels are in other bases.

In fact we do know what the staffing requirement is for droping trips. Swaps and Drops needs to look at any and all trips that touch the day you want dropped, subtract from the number of available reserves and still have at least 40.

So 40 reserves is the magic number. Remember this takes into consideration not only the number of open trips on the day you are attempting to drop but also trips that touch your day.

Many times I have had a drop request denied due to staffing only to be approved a week or two later as staffing levels change.

ORD is a different story man... lol! I said it can be done, not always but it can.

With the jungle junk jets being parked, staffing shouldn't be an issue.
