Could this mean Skywest will soon resume hiring?

I'm not a kool aid drinker by any means, and a regional is after a regional. But like you, I've been around the block a bit before coming to SkyWest. I was actually VERY pessimistic about coming here, and from the start was just looking for an excuse to quit and go back to my former life of corporate or charter. But since the beginning, I've been treated with respect and have always been very impressed with the training.

The pay could always be better, but after first year pay, if you're a lineholder on the jet it's not bad. My take home pay has been significantly better than I ever planned on. I definitely want to move on from here ASAP, but at this point it would only be for a career position... A major, certain legacies, or a very good corporate job. Most charter and even a lot of corporate jobs would be a step backwards considering the combination of of pay and QOL I have here in my third year at SkyWest.

That was 30 that united announced and yes they are separate. These are bought by Skywest Inc. The other 30 were bought by united.

Just out of curiosity, why would you think they wouldn't go to SKW?

Why would United put all 70 in the hands of just one carrier?

FWIW, one of our CPs said that he's hearing California Pacific is rumored to get the flying for the 30 E175s. Which could be interesting because they are still doing proving runs. He has heard from the one of the higher ups at TSH that we did not get the flying.

From this Republic guy, to the Skywest friends a big congrats..i would like to see us finding pilots now. better pay / better treatment of employees / better soft money.

I wish thess planes were flown by majors but then again, glad they went to better regional.
