I just called the FCC and told me that once you file online it will take 24 hrs to process and then it takes 6 to 7 days to get it in the mail. Very nice people. Though they want you to spell your name because you are being recorded.

Until then the receipt or bottom of the form or whatever that you printed is good for use as the FCC license.
That's probably one of the easier things to do in aviation!

Alright, I'm going to beat a dead horse here. I guess I'm having trouble applying in that its saying I owe $110! And I'm seeing everyone else is paying $60. Sup with that? I mean I'm doing it as an individual in a private aircraft and its portable. Any thoughts?

What does this "enable" you to do? Which airlines require it?
I thought this was a thing of the past but I'm guessing I might be wrong.
Does this have to do with flying a US airplane out of the country and using a VHF radio while doing so?

No, I think that all airlines require it. I am not positive but I beleive it is something to do with flying internationally? All I know, is that it is confusing applying for and the best thing to do is just call the 800 number on the bottom of the screen. Like they said before, the lady is real nice and she can walk you through the whole process in about 10 minutes. It is $60. Just tell her you are an airline pilot and she will know exactly what to do.
