AE New vacancy BID out!

Agreed, they need one to take concession then merge the owned regionals and use the concessionary contract as the base contract. That is why we need to replace the current union leadership at eagle, to stop the spineless weasels from giving the rest of store away.
Last time around Flagship contract was better but Simmons was management friendly and an alpa carrier, so when they merged the eagles, the Simmons contract was the base of the merge with minor tweak for 16 years.

Here you go making an ass out of yourself again. Why would the company run a vacancy/displacement bid to just redo it all over again by displacing CA back to FO creating even more training cycles. Also, why not just cancel the guys in training since they are the most junior. Why let them finish as the most junior CA are starting training in the next two weeks or so just to pulled them at the end of training or displace them shortly after when the smaller ERJs are parked.

Last year was different, when this happened the company was doing a political furlough of 50 pilots and displacing 100 captains. It cost the company dearly as far as training cycles. Not all the displacements actually happened. They could do it again in an attempt to punishment to us but they know that it will cost them more than it will save. They are playing the whipsaw game and they won't stop until pilots make them stop as a whole. Not saying that isn't going to happen but the circumstances are different. But they could also park a bunch of airplanes and test the furlough protection but as long as we are hiring, airplanes remain full and replacement companies struggle to staff the flying I think we will be ok and this is not just for Eagle, it applies to al the regionals because we are all on the same boat.

What would happen if we gave management everything they wanted. Say we took the 1113 term sheet and then this "B" scale idea.
Would anyone want to work here?
Eagle gives newhires the option of a $5k signing bonus.
Are they having to do this because there is a shortage, or because no one can see a future.
If we gave them (management) exactly what they wanted, would anyone be here in 5 years???

Yes and yes. There has been, currently is, and will always be no shortage of people who are willing to fly jets regardless of the pay and schedules.

Unfortunately... I fear this is true. I have a former co-worker who is applying to Republic because they see it is a bright future and want to fly the E175. A friend who also used to work here at Eagle (got furloughed during the last batch), got hired at Republic and did not accept recall. When asked why, "This company is going places. They really know how to secure new flying. I don't worry about having a job."
