Depending on how it's done according to the language there are situations where we could get 100% of all the spots at AA. (There are other parts to it such as annual true-ups etc but above is the basics and also these spots are not an interview or anything...we just walk into new hire class when our number comes up)

On paper it's a huge difference from version 1.0, now obviously the question is whether we believe management will actually do it. The language says they will reduce block hours in order to be able to meet the flow demands. The language is about as strong as it could be and doing the math, if Eagle does get all the slots we are promised (big IF), AA hiring to replace retirements alone will mean that few if any pilots actually hit the 4 and 12 year cap.

Again it all boils down to whether we believe that the company will make it happen.
well first off you cannot trust them for much. example we had a contract that was 10 months old and ten days after aa/us merger was approved by the judge, doug and company came for more concessions. So I would not expect any block hours being given away just so you can flow. the flow has no guarantees in it, one force majeure to the judge and it is stopped and you are in a 4/12 year pay cap and stuck. newbies with an opinion about American management thanks but no thanks, now troll away back to your cubicle.

Thank you for your kind words...

To keep in all in context, I've been at Eagle for about 7 years, I've heard the old history, and lived the recent history. No where in my post did I say that I trust management. I was just putting a few facts out there instead of opinions.

Let's keep this civil and professional, just like the cockpit.

I have no dog is this fight as I left a year ago however if it's ok I'd like to make a suggestion.

I sincerely ask that all parties (FOs and Capts) read the TA as if it will determine the rest of your career because Eagle for some will be your career airlines. Please READ the TA and don't listen to the innuendos spread by union officials who want you to vote yes. In my short time there (3+years) every contract that had the possibility of going to a pilot vote had some aircraft or incentive rumor attached to it.

The divestiture TA had increased flow rumors and aircraft that would magically appear the day the Contract was signed. The current contract that Eagle is under there were supposed to be a significant number of 900s that would be announced the day after it was voted in. I personally voted No for the current contract because it killed what little quality of life that made a once good regional avg to mediocre.

The point of my post is vote with knowledge and confidence! Be ready to live with these terms for 20 years if you are so persuaded to vote yes. I hope for the sake of everyone at Eagle that they may advance on to their dream job but reality is, this will not be the case for many. Pure luck got me out of Eagle but I can say with confidence after reading the TA I see no incentive what so ever for anyone to vote In favor of this Mockery of our profession.

Best of luck!

^^^ I agree, this is why I just put in my notice and am leaving. Having been down this road once before, with a terrible outcome, AAG can su*k it!!

I personally will never reach a pay cap, I'll quit long before that happens. I'd rather manage a McDonald's than be a career regional pilot.

50% of 0 = 0

First 30 of 0 = 0

Learn your history.

Your same parent company is currently violating the flow thru contract at PSA an improperly witholding people.

Why do you expect to be treated differently?

Us airways is allowed to hold pots till dec 31. Unfortunately they aren't violating anything.

This is where I run into the logic wall. They say they are voting yes to attract new hires with the flow. What newhire is going to care about flow to AA when all the mainlines are hiring and the airline offering flow pays less than everyone else?

Everyone may be hiring but not many are actually getting interviews. I think it's more of a carrot for prospective applicants than you might imagine.
