It's interesting to note that ALPA employees have better benefits than many of us, yet cave in when it comes to negotiating our benefits.

Your dues at work. I thought the same until I actually worked with em, and getting hired there isn't easy. All of em have lots of previous experience and take care of anything asked of them, very well I might add. You get what you pay for.

If you want to knock the Alpa staff, you gotta dig deeper. Everyone I worked with became a first name basis and took care of anything asked before I could even find a complaint. That was as a rep, so there is a bias, but I remember sending a comm up to national on a weekend and it being in the inbox within an hour after. Nothing like sending a confirmation, shutting the phone off for a 1 hour flight, and landing with a bunch of emails from pilots. Can't beat the staffers. Once again, gotta pay to play
