The wife again.
N6724m Amen! You beat me to it. This whole "y'all are made for it, I'm not" crap is just that; BS. Secretly sexist men use that as an excuse to not have to dig in and DEAL with crying children, difficult situations and frustrating family dynamics. Hey, I am clearly a big fan of men and the only major feminist ideal I hold to be 100% true is that women are equally good at many (note that I didn't say ALL) things men are. That said, I do believe that men in general tend to turn to cop outs such as those of C750, which at first glance come across as soooo big of them; to admit their "flaws" or biological "shortcomings". It is much harder and take a great deal more courage to fight against those biological "challenges" and overcome them than it does to admit them while shrugging your shoulders in acceptance. Women did it fifty years ago. Men can do it too.
Hey, it drives me nuts to hear my child screaming nonstop as well. The difference is that I don't give up. I CAN'T give up and that is the difference between you and I, C750. Considering what my husband does, I often don't have someone around to turn my child over to that can help quiet him or her down. If I want some peace and quiet I have to find a way to accomplish that - as would you if your arms were the only ones around to quiet the little ones. It is amazing what one can do when left with few choices.
Or wait ... maybe women should use the same excuse and say that we are not "instinctually" equipped to assist the family financially, to pay or manage bills or to helplessly cry whenever we need to dig into a historically "male task"? I'd like to see the state of the world if women gave up as easily as SOME of our male counterparts. ;-)
As for HMP; just roll over and play dead. It'll save you face if nothing else. You're pretty overpowered and out smarted in here.

forgive me because i did not read the other 5 pages in between your reply to this because i got so damn mad after reading it.
Yes regional jets are slowly replacing 737 routes for less pay, BUT HOW IS IT THE REGIONAL PILOTS FAULT, your the one who negotiaties the scope clause and let it happen. it sucks, the whole system system sucks but RJ pilots are just playing along with the game THAT YOU SET UP. granted some of them are uniformed and think it would be really cool to get the E-170 oneday, but the majority of them know that there just playing the game and theres nothing they can do about it on the bottom.

Hey HotMamaPilot,
Based on your ego, cockiness, "God's gift to aviation" type attitude, you sound like an accident waiting to happen.
My prediction?
Robyn Sclair was to Fedex as you will be to UPS.
Get rid of your "my sh*t dont stink" attitude.
You, too, were a regional F/O at one point.
And these guys are right. RJ pilots today are NOT to blame for the problems!
Look back about 15 years ago, when the CRJ first came around, and look at what mainline pilots did with scope. They didn't even want to touch an RJ. Personally, I would have loved if all RJs ended up at mainline with mainline pay, but hey, that didn't happen due to mainline pilots back in the early '90s.
You're blaming the wrong pony.
Now get to bed, it's 9:40 AM EST, and you have a 3 AM showtime for a flight out of SDF in your shiny B767.

I don't recall being a voting member of any seniority list that had the opportunity to vote down the ****ty legacy contracts with the expanded scope. In fact I would bet that very few RJ pilots were on any of those seniority lists. The bottom line is, ALPA and their counterparts at other airlines, decided it was more important to protect the pay of the top of the seniority list, than the jobs of the junior guys. They also years ago failed to recognize the benefit of RJ's, and for all practical purposes refused to accept them in the industry, and refused to fly them. This is their own poor judgement, and now they want to ***** about it. I refuse to conceed that the state of the industry has anything to do with RJ pilots, and everything to do with the priorities set forth by the legacy management and unions.

I will once again ask HMP to actually respond to one of my posts with an arguement telling me how it's my fault that I'm forced to fly an RJ on a seperate seniority list. I have reposted my original post in the attempt to get an actual response. But I suppose she doesn't have one, because she knows I'm right.

because they knowingly went to work for an alter ego company so they could skip ahead of their peers in the line to upgrade

You were not forced to do anything...including take the job! You know damn well that if RAH started flying A320's for half the price of those at USAirways, you would take the job! Don;t deny it. At Eagle, I stayed in the saab, just out of principle. You are a sell out like most others.
