True they all farm out their flying to the regionals, but nothing, NOTHING, sucks like United's regional service.

Agreed. But you must consider who is in charge of United Express these days. Sandra Pineau-Boddison, she was formerly in charge of call centers at CO and before that, food services. Somehow that qualified her to oversee the network, product, operations, customer service and strategy for United’s regional operation. It must really pay to be one of Smisek's cronies.

I checked out priceline to see who all flies this route direct. Turns out this is uniquely Skywest. $754 round trip which includes taxes and fees but not bags.

Ugly truth: passenger comfort, convenience, on time performance... the entire customer experience DOES NOT MATTER. Regarding airline profitability, if you make it cheap, they will come.

The general public is like a stupid teenage girl playing the dating game; treat them like dirt and they'll vow "never again", but it's only a valid vow until they come back next time.

They will continue to be treated like s hit and if actions speak louder than words, they will like it.

Look at Spirit and Allegiant...

74 pax on a 700? Must be single-class. ASA/ExpressJet is 65 max. At any rate, it's funny seeing all the "important people" bum rushing onto CRJ-200s. Like it makes a difference.

It was an OO 700, which is now 70 pax with a dual configuration all thanks to the new slim line seats.
