Just write:

*Year* (estimated): Speeding ticket
Comments: I received a speeding ticket that is not part of my permanent driving record. To the best of my recollection it occurred somewhere around *year*.

No. But again, if you were convicted of a felony, or anything as serious, disclose it.

A friend just recently got hired at a legacy with a 3 yo DUI. We were all very surprised but it happens. There are more guys at the majors/freight with alcohol violations than you realize, they just don't advertise it.

Oh ok I got caught with a beer when I was a minor but never went to court or had any formal charges but it was on record and I did have to do community service to avoid any actual charges. Not something I was ever planning on disclosing since I was a minor

Continue to work and fly and build your resumes , both regional and major airlines have hired people with your background .... Even recently , network and get people who are willing to stick their necks out for you , you ll be fine if you want it bad enough and have the drive . Anyone who says you won't get hired with these minor issues is a fool,

And be honest and truthful in your application and interview. If the paper work only asks for 10 year history then just give them that, during your interview is the time to tell then about stuff beyond 10 years. Always be honest , I have seen a few dudes pulled out of class mid training due to something they didn't disclose , and it was minor , but the company didn't like how they just didn't disclose it durning the interview when asked .

In Italy the Carabiniere will do this. They also carry sub-machine guns for those who chose not to stop.

I would disclose every single thing that has ever happened no matter how long ago it was and no matter how minor you thought the issue might be.

A friend of mine once disclosed that he got caught having a beer by a hotel pool when he was 19. The interviewers chuckled and he got offered a job.
Another friend of mine did not disclose something that happened 24 years ago and was pulled out of class and let go.

A background check may only state that it's going back 10 years but who knows how far it can really go back or what might show up.. Also, when at a job interview, the interviewer usually asks about prior issues, not what is going to show up on a background check. Those are two different things and I would hate to screw up a potential job by not being forthcoming.

You all have a far better memory that I do. When I was younger my driving record was longer than my leg. None of that shows up on any driving record search that I have found so short of saying "yes I had a crap load of tickets during my early years" I would have no idea where to even start. I have a TS security clearance and none of that has ever came up. Is there a Background Investigation service that you can run your own check to make sure you catch everything?

As for the DUI a good friend of mine was rejected by Continental many years ago for having one that was 15 years old and hired by South West a week later. He said that was the best thing that ever happened to him.
