9 out of 10 I've talk to (FO's) and flown with (CA's). Are a solid NO regardless of what's offered. We have gained much strength living through this past 2 years and will continue to be stronger as time passes. Time =Leverage. So lets make the best out of it and enjvoy our time!

There's more to life then being a pilot for a legacy airline. If that is anyone's only litmus as to success, I think they're in pretty bad shape.

I'm really surprised that people on here think our position has strengthened. We've lost the CRJs and the MIA base since we mistakenly voted down the last proposal. This is not a vote of getting a better deal later, it's a vote of keeping your job or making a lateral move.

The CRJs were leaving and the MIA base was going to close regardless of the last vote. AAG made it very clear, prior to the vote that Eagle was going to shrink,....... regardless of the vote. They've also made it very clear that the Embraers are also leaving. The only question was and is: how many E-175s Eagle will get. And the answer that that question will be determined when (and if) a CBA is reached.

MIA would not have closed, that's where some of the 175s were going, I agree that the company had made that statement with the CRJs.

Actually I thought Republic knew long ago they'd be moving there 175 flying from CLT to MIA.

Nevets a contract does not make you immune to economics. Unions harm companies and workers by holding on to that belief. If a company is going to have to pay more for health coverage they will pass that cost to the employees or the customers. In the airline industry ticket prices are quite rigid, most fare increases do not stick, therefore that cost will hit the employees one way or another. I am willing to bet on the free market and I expect that health care prices on the exchanges will decrease as insurance providers compete for subscribers. Why not give the company something that you can mitigate in other ways and gain something in the trade off?

You do realize that the airlines have had multiple ticket price increases over the last several years that did "stick". They've also added multiple fee increases that have also "stuck". The result is all time record profits to the tune of Billion dollar plus net profits per quarter. In addition, their biggest operating cost(fuel), has been dropping significantly for the last several months!

Convince me of the "need" for any concessions from flight crews, let alone the audacity of not offering substantial pay and benefit increases to make up for the years of concessions and stagnation of this "profession"?
