While we don't always agree on everything, you are generally one of the more credible posters on here for many things. Posts like this one, however, reek of baseless sour grapes and emotion instead of facts.

Because its a job at a completely different company. I'm sorry you honestly seem to think "being owned by Delta means everything" but that's not how it works. The sooner you accept that the sooner you can either find peace where you are or move on to where you want to be.
Korean Air, Air France, SkyWest, ASA, RAH, Alaska, Silver , Horizon and a million others also "fly DL passengers" so should we automatically hire all of them without an interview? But wait, SkyWest also "flies United passengers" and Horizon also "flies Alaska passengers" and for that matter, DL "flies Alaska and Air France passengers" so should we all just slide on over anywhere in the industry we want without an interview? Weeeeeeee!
Back to reality. Its a different company, period. The sooner you can accept that the happier you will be.
We've all heard of the vocal minority at Pinnacle that, after not getting hired at DL, pitched massive fits in public about hating the company etc. Its clear at that point that they should NEVER have been hired there. No injustice, no irony, no travesty. You want a job at any DIFFERENT airline, prepare network and interview for it. Or wait for a flow, etc, that's fine too. But you're NOT entitled to it. Ever.

This is a correct way to state it. Gloopy is correct. No single pilot group be it a subsidiary, affiliated, wholly-owned, etc., should bypass the Delta screening.

I have a hard time believing anyone in the know at Delta thinks that is true, if their is plan is to shift all flying to Skywest and another regional at greatly increased costs then maybe they can buy some time. Other than that they are probably a couple months from full on panic mode.

I have talked directly with management, what he said above is spot on. However the real reason is still maintaining a relationship with the employee group. If people think they are the best, they will take less money to feel the best. This is why arbitrary barriers to entry lower your overall career earnings.

My comment reflects disdain on that person's personal anguish, seemingly hatred and morbid repudiation for "RJ" pilots. How was that not absolutely apparent?

I think Henson (Now Piedmont) was the first regional bought by a Mainline Carrier.
While Henson enjoyed a golden age with Piedmont it soon turned to crap after USAir bought Piedmont forming US Airways thus ending an Airline that had good Management/Employee relations.

While he may have used some imflamatory rhetoric about regional hiring standards to make his point, all he was basically saying was that mainline should be able to interview the pilots it hires. Hardly in the realm of Hitler.

We had a few WO'ed pilots (good ones) get turned down at US Airways and they came right back to Piedmont flying US Airways Passengers. Hmmm makes me wonder. So basically they are still good to fly US Airways passengers? But just not good enough to fly them on a bigger and easier plane to fly. Don't get me wrong I think Mainline should be able to hire who they want. But it's just kinda funny when they turn down a pilot that's already basically flying there metal.
I have a feeling that soon American will take over all the hiring at the WO'ed airlines.
