The CRJ is Cat IIIa if you are a qualified pilot. Last I checked, none of the skywest or express jet pilots are. Takes a while to qualify 7000 pilots for 20 planes that might still have the HUD.

Mesa has a few 900's with Huds, although they are inop, and I think they came from Alitalia.

I know Delta likes to load Compass up with mail and other cargo so they do get weight restricted. RAH never really gets cargo other than comat. I have never been weight restricted where I couldn't take everyone plus a jumpseater. I did one time have to burn fuel before takeoff so I could get the jumpseater on though. (The fuelers accidently tried to put an airbus fuel load on us and they told us to burn it off in the runup block.)

Who does LGA-EYW on an RJ?!?

You don't need a HUD if it has Autoland..

Wasn't it already 30 900s and something like 47 700s before this order? Wonder where this flying is coming from.

There is nothing official about who ordered these jets, only conjecture at this point.

Should they go to PSA (or any other regional), which I am still skeptical about, the flying will just be replacing 50 seaters that are getting parked, albeit at reduced frequency.
