lol 20 and 30 year Captains do not see your point of view.

Care to explain your logic?

Plenty of labor unions exist in the U.S., and they don't need any federal act to stay in existence. Moreover, there are (and have been) plenty of airline pilot groups who are (and were) non-union,....... (and they were all subject to the RLA).

I'm saying if there was no longer a RLA pilot groups could control outcomes much easer by work actions so why would a union fight the RLA? It essentially makes there services needed.

This week:

1. Cancel 145 upgrade class
2. Reduce bilateral negotiation meetings
3. Announce replacement planes (not growth) to different certificate = hoses 100s of pilots
4. Announce worse flight benefits than last year
5. Culture change checklist - Complete.

Standby for next week's episode of BB Cares.

Avoid this place like the plague. Eight years of negotiations should tell you how much BB gives a **** about pilots at his company. The same goes for the new guy they brought in to talk us all into dropping our pitchforks.

And where were they supposed to go? Republic just saw 50 planes for growth, while shuttle has been stagnant as hell. The real answer is to get a merge done, yes, but share the wealth a bit. The only way it would really unfairly hose 100s is if they open a DEN base, which they haven't announced and isn't a certainty.

Now, I've read all of the stories about how RAH has a terrible contract, long upgrades, etc. Is it really that bad?

Yes

My condolences to RAH pilots for all the cancelations the past month. Sucks going to work and not getting paid. For anyone thinking of going to RAH just know they have no cancelation pay (you could lose a quarter of your pay in a month like January). The company still gets paid though.

This is incorrect. We're still getting min guarantee of 75 hrs per agreement with the company.

As lousy as this place is some days, at least give out accurate info vs out and out lies and exaggeration.

100%. Have lost over 13hrs of pay in less than a week at RAH these past few days. Company still pockets the money from daddy D while the pilots get nothing....going on 8 years of this BS. Republic is the only regional airline that does not have cancellation pay, even Mesa has line guarantee cancellation pay. Oh and the company has basically just told our union to go pound sand regarding negotiations. I would venture to guess many of our FO's have lost $400-$500 in the past week....maybe more.

Didn't RAH pay protect January?
