Definitely Endeavor. AWAC has a bit better contract, but the detractors are their uncertain future, slow upgrade, and less pay(taking Endeavor bonus into account).
No offense to AWAC. They are also a great company.

It depends on your needs. AWAC is not flashy, but it is solid. If you don't need the upgrade, AWAC is a solid company that treats their pilots well. If upgrading is a priority, you might find it faster elsewhere. There's more to the equation than upgrading (which can be hard to predict!), so be sure to look at as many factors as you can.
Good luck!

My view from the outside... Endeavor is NOT formerly Pinnacle. Pinnacle did not change its name to Endeavor. Delta bought up Pinnacle-Colgan-Mesaba's physical assets, kept many of the Pinnacle employees on staff, and dumped many non-seniority list employees. Saying Endeavor is formerly Pinnacle is like saying United is formerly PeoplExpress because Continental bought the remains of PE and then years later merged with United, or saying Silver is formerly Gulfstream. Actually, maybe Silver IS Mesaba because many of their ac came from there.
In any industry it is usually safer to buy an ongoing enterprise rather than starting anew.

What he said! So Endeavor for sure, as a matter of fact I know of quite a few Air Wizz guys that are either in class or will be in upcoming classes at Endeavor, so i think that should tell ya something !

All this talk about "If you don't need the upgrade, then go to AWAC" is hillarious. So what is the upgrade at Endeavor? Cause if it's 4 years at AWAC, It's double that at 9E. There's an 8+ year endeavor FO in my Crashpad.
The only people left at endeavor are the cool aide drinkers and the people who need it to work. Both will tell you it's the best place ever... It isn't.
While I wouldn't steer you towards republic, endeavor isn't better. AWAC is the best bet in NYC for regionals. TSA has CQFOs and will be staffing the American Eagle flying from other bases but you can expect quite a few LGA overnights from what I hear.

AWAC has a very nice contract compared to the rest of the industry. Endeavor's $20k per year retention bonus (through 2018), equates to approximately $47/hour compared to $27/hour at AWAC. (Assuming 75 hours per month.)
I'm joining Endeavor in part because the money is a significant factor. Everyone's needs are different.

upgrades are starting back up again as new hires are coming online. The problem with the question of "how long is the upgrade" is it's where things are RIGHT NOW. So yea, you can say 8-9 years at the moment, but we need at least 100 upgrades from May-Dec this year just to replace those going to DL for the SSP numbers to be fulfilled. With -200's coming back and other attrition from the CA ranks the number is higher. That brings down the "8-9" level down a good bit and keep in mind the upcoming years have larger numbers to DL, although it will be a mix of CA and FO by the SSP alone.
Looking at a place solely by "how long is the upgrade" is not the way to choose a carrier. All it takes is an airplane order to be placed, canceled, or a staffing issue and the number moves. Look at the overall picture and put consideration into upgrade, but also into pay, QOL, security, and career progression. That's just my opinion. When I started at Pinnacle in 06 they were hiring street CA's. 5 years later I was actually able to upgrade. But at the time, upgrade time was in newhire class!
