If he gets his job back it may not necessarily be with back pay. It all depends on how the arbitrator sees the situation.

Y'all drink the Kool-aid, they aren't going to flow you if there is no one to replace you.
This is a problem every regional is going to have. I have a better chance getting on elsewhere with PIC time, then you do with a fraction of total time, most of it sic. You just keep waiting for that flow, maybe you'll get lucky.

I shouldn't even respond...but here goes:
The upgrade times and flow are for NEW HIRES...PEOPLE HIRED TODAY. Not for people already on property.
Current Reserve time is based on what has happened at Envoy in THE PAST....specifically the past 2 years. 2013/2014. In any case, it is only in ORD that FOs are still on Reserve after 4 years.
Otherwise, many people bid Reserve ON PURPOSE for increased QOL and better schedules. Now why would people do that if Reserve was so horrible?
I know math is hard, but you are trying to reverse rationalize this any way you can. Anyone hired at Envoy from this year forward will NOT experience the same stagnation that people hired in the past have. Throw all the X numbers around you want. But there is no point...you guys want to argue about crap which has already been decided by American Airlines management and you think you know more than they do. I'm done. Enjoy your 5 flows/month over at PSA. Hope you can hold out for 20+ years.

I just don't see these numbers and claims adding up despite how desperately some want them to.

And, don't forget that we are already a couple months in to that 2.5 year prediction. So it really isn't 30 months anymore, but probably in the range of 27-28 months. That is a lot of movement in the next 27 months.

They only have to average 34 upgrades a month for the next 27 months if the 2.5/5 is going to come true. Shouldn't be an issue with all the vacancies they consistently put out..

Do you have any idea the logistics of 34 upgrades a month for 27 months? Has anyone considered the unlikely ability to keep enough check airmen around for this kind of movement? Anyone choosing an airline based on loose projections and fuzzy math in this day and age deserves what they get. While I think things will improve dramatically, the numbers you guys are touting are pure fantasy.

If the numbers don't add up, how valid is the information and if the information is in question, how questionable is the credibility of the source claiming that information ?

I sense a lot of anger and tone in your post and I would encourage you to use words that help and not hurt.
If I understand you correctly, you are saying a new hire that is hired today will upgrade in 2.5 years? I'll accept that if you can tell me how many more years the FO's on reserve in ORD for the last 4+ years will have to wait to be Captain? Will they be upgrading in 2016?

That being said, I cannot tell you how many more years until a 4 year RSV FO sees a CA position. Again, it's a projection. By running quick numbers from my end, I would say a year to a year and a half.
So...did those words help and not hurt, my sensitive little PSA friend? Why don't you focus your anger at PDT where they're advertising a 3 to 5 year flow to AA. I'm sorry, but those numbers (especially 3 years) are laughable if looking at a flow of 3/month.

I'll chime in here. His words were meant to help, hence him explaining the rationalization behind 2.5/6 that certain dense people can't understand. To recap for the millionth time, it's a PROJECTION. Choose to believe it if you like to or not but the math adds up (I would give or take a couple months obviously, my crystal ball is broken.)

For the 2.5/6 to work, 34 upgrades per month, every month, for the next year and beyond are the numbers needed to make it happen at Envoy. Unfortunately, that's laughable.
