Love how "technical" the recruiter wasn't wrong. CRJ DFW won't close (yet). But who knows with that also.. Looks like inc wants out of the E145...i would guess XTJ will be all CRJ within the next few years.

It was a two year contract on the Envoy ERJs, so that is not surprising.

The company definitely wants upgrades. It's the only thing that's really hurting our recruiting efforts. One thing I will say though about upgrade time is that the gap between 9 year guys getting the upgrade now and 3-4 year guys like myself is shrinking a lot; atleast on CRJ side. Roughly only 150 guys in that gap of 5-6 years! Means if we ever got some damn growth upgrades will drop like they did at SkyWest. Not to long ago I remember they too had 7+ year upgrades. Amazing what some new EJets did to that upgrade time. Last I heard 2-3 yrs now, which is where Xjt needs to be and can be with some solid growth.

Stockholm syndrome much?

How so, what I said are facts. If growth comes, upgrades will fall off a cliff to reasonable time periods. Will it happen? Who knows! So far SkyWest keeping it all to themselves. Am I gonna stick around till it happens? Nope! Got my apps out to the majors just like everyone else. In the meantime I just try to be little optimistic than most based on what I see. Too many "Negative Nancy's" already here on this site! ;)

We have nine tear upgrades and a two and a half year furlogh gap. That brings upgrades to almost seven years by the time we reach that point, unless im missing something.

Because they didn't hire heavily until late 2012 and beyond. So the actual amount of people beyond the gap is very thin.

There are less than 100 people between the most junior awarded captain (not done with upgrade training) and the September 27, 2010 LXJT recall pilot. He moved up about 17 last month. At that rate, he will be awarded an upgrade around March 2017, at which time our upgrade time will be under 6.5 years. Every month after that should see a reduction in upgrade times.

Quit being optimistic. That's isn't allowed on APC.

How long is the reserve for the CRJ side in ATL? Would it be an easy commut from DAB or MCO?
