What is the reserve time looking like at one of the NY bases vs. DCA, or PHL? I have a class coming up and those are my top choices based on commutability from RDU. I've always wanted DC but NY looks easier to get to. Any advice?

I'd also look into BOS. We're going to be doing 5x daily BOS-RDU flights for AA in addition to any we might do for DL.

Own metal commutes make like much, much easier.

lol, what?

You most likely won't get ORD out of training. But you will get it within the first 6 months.

12/19 hires got awarded ORD on the last bid so it’s going pretty junior as of late.

I’m not a Republic pilot, but I use to work for TSA and was based at DCA and lived in Raleigh. Let me tell you, it was one of the EASIEST commutes EVER. Between DL (4 flights) and AA (7-8 flights) (except on Saturday for both as there is a reduced schedule) it was super easy and a super short commute. I’d highly recommend DCA as your base, plus the River visual is fun.

Thanks Tankerds! This is what I was looking for. I don't have access to flight loads so its a wild guess to me how much room is on each flight out of RDU to BOS, DCA, NYC, PHL. All I have to go off of is the amount of flights per day on own metal. I appreciate the info!

Type in RDU and American into google and click news. Americans starting Boston to RDU flights soon. There’s already a lot to Boston on delta.
