What the business end of a fire hose looks like. Also, your family's faces, so you don't forget them.

Is it funny you don’t do any ORD flying anymore for American?

Not trying to be rude, things just change so much in the regionals. I think whoever said we are getting MIA back only said that cause there was a disproven rumor about EOW equipped airframes on property, but to get to my point anything can happen in the regionals and bases can pop up and close at companies will.

Currently living about 3hrs drive from PIT, do you guys recommend having a base you could drive too or commute to one the LGa or ewr hubs ? How is PIT as a base? Trips, reserve, timeframe to line holder ? I know these questions probably been answered before, but I appreciate all of you guys feedback.

Drive for sure. I'm about 2.5 from LaGuardia and I have a crashpad here. As much as it sucks driving 2.5 hours to work, it beats the stress of trying to commute and missing the flights.

To be fair, an EOW equipped plane is worthless without the airline itself being EOW certified.

Envoy does not have any route approvals for the EOW routes we fly out of MIA we fly nor have any filings been made with the DOT as far as I have seen. Plus there is the fact that all of our EIW route authorities have been extended into the 2020’s

Bet he’s also one of the brand new FOs that stand in the galley during boarding welcoming passengers aboard and pop up as soon as the door opens after parking.

To any new FO reading this. Get in the f’ing cockpit and do your job. Let the FA’s welcome passengers aboard, that’s their job. If I have to tell an FO to get in the cockpit one more time because I’m waiting on him to do a release brief or anything else I’m gonna lose it.
