I most definitely never blamed any regional pilots for the current state of the industry. Go read what I said one more time. I have the utmost respect for anyone doing this job, the very same job whether it’s a 777 or a dash 8.

Acting like the majors going into furloughs and flying going to regionals is a good thing is an awful stance. I will call that out any time. The post you seem to have a qualm with was only pointing out how short sighted and ignorant that viewpoint is. My comments are directed at them.

I UA tried this tactic post 9/11 and lost in the courts. If we furlough it’s off the bottom of the list.

Assuming with all this going on do you guys think new hire classes will be canceled in few months or do you think Republic will try to capitalize on hiring pilots since they were behind?

Depends on how long this lasts. I’ve been the optimist on these boards (when it comes to the virus) but with the President banning travel to Europe for the next month now who knows? This could blow over or send the industry in to a tailspin. Per our last update it’s still business as usual for Republic.

I had a class date for 3/31 and they called yesterday and pushed it back 3 weeks because of the corona virus.
