LOL, we’ll see how much mainline management holds up to those scope clauses. They’re not going to keep empty 737’s flying routes they can easily replace with an RJ, much cheaper. Managements job is to hold the bottom line and if that means replacing mainline routes with cheaper RJs and furloughing pilots to keep the profits flowing and shareholders happy they won’t hesitate. History will repeat itself.

😂 obviously you are a regional lifer. You would know that the mainline have scope clauses to prevent this from happening. If mainline cuts flights... they have to cut regional flying too... Genius

So APA is just going to let management get away with murder and violate scope clause so your barbie jets can fly our routes?

You guys are so quick to want mainline to give you all flying as if it's good for you. Maybe if you spend your whole career at Republic, then sure. Be a sell out.

But I don't think that's what you want. I also don't think you've been in this industry very long at all if you think mainline flying going to the regionals is good, and AA management can unilaterally alter scope clauses. And you're here cheering it on! Absolutely insanity.

LOL indeed my friend.

Create a new ID to slum around in the Regional boards. 59 posts already. Quite the life you must have.

8-10% reduction in April over previously planned flying. Pairings to be rebuilt. Bids delayed.

In all honesty this will help us make it through the summer schedule with our current staffing but of course will hurt us if the “pandemic” continues into the summer.

I think another big factor will be seeing how many people will end up leaving (if any)

If you think reserve is the worst, you need one major reality check. You better be praying there aren’t furloughs coming up. I’d just be happy to stay employed at this point.

Do any of the major scope sections have a Force majeure clause associated?

You CANNOT say with any certainty whatsoever that they will not furlough. It’s a possibility, especially if this drags on.

Unless your current job is horrible, then my opinion is to just stick it out and wait for this to blow over. I’d rather have some type of income than none at all.
