Just a general LOE to IOE update. We have a guy from our group that finished his LOE on 7/20 and is scheduled for IOE on 8/1. So around a two week delay.

I'm looking at a March class date, understand a lot may change by then.
I’ll expand on this a little this afternoon, but, I didn’t know they went longer than 6 mos on class dates. ???

The union puts out a "daily departures" chart once a month, Looking at the average daily departures for July, PHL has in the mid 20's, EWR has just under 110. That alone tells you there's a lot more options for departure times and types of trips.

I took a look at the PHL schedule and was surprised to find very few single day trips. (prefer a lot of single and 2 days) There's quite a few single day trips at EWR.

There's 150(ish) FO's at EWR and 75 (ish) at PHL, doing that math, the more desirable trips are going to go a lot faster at PHL, or put another way, you're going to have to be farther up the food chain to get what you want.
I don't know of a breakdown I can get to showing how many 2, 3, 4, or 5 day trips at each base, I just went through the union's market planning podcast and there's nothing in there that lists that.

Does anyone know how big the current classes are (classes filled since the WO pay increase)? The company is saying "classes are full," but there is a big difference between a class of 30 and a class of 10.

When I was at the training center last week, there looked to be about 30 in that class. I think the largest one of the month.

As long as 1500 hour wet CFI’s have Shiny Jet Syndrome and continue to drool over the E175, Republic & SkyWest don’t need to raise pay and will have a steady flow of new hire F/O’s.

With the recession present, BB knows Pilots take a huge risk jumping ship to go to ULCC/LCC to be at the bottom of the seniority list.

I'm looking pretty seriously at BOS, but I'm about a year out from training. How long has your buddy been on reserve there? How long does reserve usually last?

You are correct they are currently booking October, I meant my projected class date would likely be February or March. Really appreciate the solid info on EWR!! Honestly can’t wait to move on

Republic won’t be here in a year if they don’t have a new contract in effect for the Pilots. They are on par to lose 50% of the entire Pilot population by Dec 2022.

he’s still on reserve, long call currently. There’s only about 20? lines there or something around that and 100+ FOs. May be a bit off base but it’s not a very junior base
