According to the FLICA data for next month, there's 87 FO's in BOS and approx 35 FO lines.
Last months market planning podcast indicated 8 mos for a composite and 10 mos for a clean line.

I honestly don’t understand the base structure. 3 non-hub bases are within a 3hr drive from one another. Why?

I took a look at the PHL schedule and was surprised to find very few single day trips. (prefer a lot of single and 2 days) There's quite a few single day trips at EWR.

There's 150(ish) FO's at EWR and 75 (ish) at PHL, doing that math, the more desirable trips are going to go a lot faster at PHL, or put another way, you're going to have to be farther up the food chain to get what you want.
I don't know of a breakdown I can get to showing how many 2, 3, 4, or 5 day trips at each base, I just went through the union's market planning podcast and there's nothing in there that lists that.
While I believe all the numbers you posted, I’d say your general conclusion is not accurate. EWR trips are built around turns originating from EWR. PHL trips start and finish there, but rarely touch PHL in between. Most Philly trips involve turns out of BOS, LGA, DCA, etc. Thus, daily departures doesn’t mean a whole lot given the way the pairings are built.
From where I sit, the efficiency of the trips in EWR/PHL are roughly equal (PHL having longer trips and EWR having a lot of shorter trips for sure).

Actually Republic forces flying contractually through the Holy Trinity because it is the Republic Recruiting advantage. IND SDF CMH. We operate pretty much every flight to the codeshare hubs from those outstations. Republic has the best basing model in the entire airline industry in their eyes. It works well except when they need to double DH reserves to get them in place where needed. But then again mainline doesn't care we DH on like 10% of our flying

Thats not how regionals work lol Mainline tells a regional where to go. That’s why bases appear and disappear all the time
