Lol it’s all good. Bottom line is ewr and pit are realistically the only things obtainable out of training if you’re lucky and have enough seniority in the new hire bidding you might get lucky with lga or something else. And nearly everything besides dca bos and ind are obtainable by second bid. It’s just random because it comes down to vacancies and what the company needs. They’ll stick you either where they need you or where you won’t be in the way till they do need you. There’s no hard trend other than getting put out of training and bidding your way out. But there definitely new hires who don’t get pit on the first bid too

Trading bases - that's based on an opening. A more senior fo can't kick a newer fo out of a base, right? It would be awful to be forced out.
Thanks for the info on bases, I really need something commutable. I don't mind being lowest on the pole for a while if it's commutable and I can get some hours.
Can you pick up flights from other bases if no one else wants them after they've been available for a certain amount of time?
Good luck on the contract, I hope it's good or else I've asked a of questions for nothing.
Oh, privileges on Spirit, Frontier and Allegiant or no?

Republic is not a commuter friendly airline by any means. If you are the most junior pilot you will be on reserve and commuting to reserve is a special kind of hell.
You can pick up open time on your days off out of any base. There is no time restriction.
You can buy ZED fares for yourself and your passriders after 6 months of employment on many airlines. Spirit is not one of them. Neither is Frontier. You yourself can jumpseat on those carriers though.

The only way a senior FO can kick a junior FO out of base is when we close a base. It's called bump and flush.

Folks don't travel so I'm just asking about me. Glad Republic can jumpseat. There's a Charlie Allegiant flies into in one direction and one that Envoy flies into and each has an FBO I could fly into - I've always wanted a STOL so this might be an excuse to buy one.
