I agree with everything you just posted, especially considering that virtually all of your peers have cancellation and better work rules.

Unfortunately, the Company has made it clear that they believe the Captains are already paid adequately. I think you will see a majority of the proverbial jelly beans going to the FO's.

It is the captain rates that are already industry average. Where the contract falls behind is the work rules. Captains will not be seeing much of an increase in regards to hourly rates. What we need is an increase in FO rates to bring them up industry average. The whole pilot group needs cancellation pay, duty rigs, 100% Deadhead pay, vacancy system that respects seniority, better bidding system that allows people to work 75 hrs max days off or 100 hrs min days off if they so choose, better vacation, better and cheaper health insurance, better reserve system assignment system, premium pay for open time pick up, etc.

Amen! I haven't heard anyone say that we should cut our losses, take the 12 million & run.

You mean like Pinnacle's? I'm not trying to bag on those pilots, because they did what they had to do. It was a real poop sandwich, but I think it really hurt us at the negotiating table. It's too big of a coincidence that after PCL pilots voted in a concessionary contract, RAH management issues an insulting Last Best Final offer.

Simple and to the point. This is what we need to make this place survivable, and aside from the hourly rate increases, all that stuff is cheap to implement. I also would throw in real crew rooms in bases.

But if I were BB there is no way I would sign a contract until I was forced to. There is NOTHING in it for him if he signs a contract, and the stock holders would hang him if he doesn't hold out until the very end. We all know the NMB will never let us strike because we provide too much lift. We won't see a contract in our lifetime until the union stops aiming to make this a career airline, because regional airlines that become career airlines go out of business.

What's a "ride of Teamsters?" Is it like Hoffa's personal roller coaster?

That's funny!!

If anyone is qualified to define a "ride of Teamsters" it's the RAH pilots.

And, I don't know if it was intentional or subliminal, but if you say it's like a Jimmy Hoffa personal roller coaster, there is no one that has the right to argue with you.

This has nothing to do with the teamsters. There are two factors that have affected the negotiations.
1 the RLA puts labor at a dissadvantage
2 the union busting company laywer is golf buddies with a member of the NMB

This is precisely why we need a sick out/work to rule. The RLA was not intended to deprive people of the RIGHT to strike. It was written to avoid unnecessary strikes. It is being abused and we need to show them we won't take it lying down.
