I wonder if there is an impact on RAH's contract with US Airways. At some point someone is going to figure out that some airlines are making money by competing with their partners and in the case of RAH it's pretty much everyone... Delta, AA, United, US Airways. Did I miss any?
Really? Familiar with Skywest much?

Gee, I wonder where all the extra money for the new aircraft came from...

I thought UA had a no compete clause, so wouldn't this flying have to go to Republic Airlines? I heard from a friend that is the real reason your 190s are leaving Denver. Because, they aren't allowed to compete with the United Q400s. Any idea where the pilots are going to be based?

If your issue is specifically with Republic, I certainly understand.
the SKYW thing was 50-seats only per jet, my understanding. This new development (at least for me) took me by surprise because it is the larger E-175 and the larger the jet, the closer the resemblance to the larger brand, AA (IE 737, Airbus) becomes. Hence if (again, just me) I was in charge of the planet (and I am not...), I would have kept that at "Legacy Eagle" (I just invented that term) with folks who for umpteen years have worked in furtherance of the brand, not merely Point A to Point B.

In 2013, the traveling public knows the RJ's are "baby jets" and not the "big airline". So the SKYW thing (in my opinion) is not the same thing as the Republic thing.

Disclaimer: did I say this was my opinion ?

Thanks

Now thats a huge increase in price and a real rip off for 100hrs multi time!!
Why are they called "Airline Transport Professionals" anyway? What airline? Why not flight school professionals? Or just, "flight school with Piper Seminoles trying to act professional?"

Do they even offer an ATP certificate?

Of course they do. The place started as a quickie pilot mill to get the ATP.

Yeah because Chautauqua doesn't already fly for UA, AA, DL, US, F9... Or SkyWest for all those except F9...

So how does this make sense? How can a company such as RAH, who is in negotiations for a new contract (IE, RAH does not know their cost structure with a new contract for pilots) bid and win on new flying? I assume this will probably screw the pilots over big time as RAH is doing the flying at super low rates (based on current pilot pay as its among the lowest) and will be unable to give any raises out, as that would result in unsustainability for the company.
I always heard that "our" company could not bid on new flying while in negotiations because of the massive uncertainty to the companies budget, and therefore without a contract, no new flying. No RAH just runs out and gets flying got 53 airplanes?? ***
