Pit has been there from the beginning. There are no intentions from the management team to form an out station base.

I know pit has been there all along. Using that criteria, so has sdf. I was simply stating it was fun to hear some within the union talk about the company turning anti out station, then seeing a huge pit vacancy a week later.

It would give YX another much desired FL/southern base. JAX is a decent city once you warm up to it. Relatively cheap, too. The airport is very under utilized. Hardly ever delays. Great equipment on the field. Hardly ever icing in the winters. Seems like a powerful asset to have from a recruiting and operational standpoint.

I'm not offended. I just don't understand why anyone would want another outstation to detract from schedules more than our current bases do.

Unfortunately our leadership feels the same way you do. I wish I could find BBs letter which is where this whole 'rumor' came from. I'm not sure is so much of a rumor as an unofficial announcement.
