Just announced via company email, we are adding 6 additional E170 aircraft to be flown for Delta. Deliveries are scheduled starting in April 2017 with 2 per month!
Add that to the previously announced 8 aircraft coming back for AA and the 12 new deliveries for UA, we are slated to grow by 26 aircraft in 2017. Exciting time to be at Republic!
(Edit: Not clear where the 6 DL aircraft are coming from. If being transferred from another codeshare, then the "growth" aircraft would be 20.)

Is it at our expense? Maybe in the short term, but in the long run I don't think it's going to hurt us very much. We've been told this reduction in aircraft isn't a punitive action by Delta.

I don't see us growing anywhere but along the East Coast. I'm just now starting to put out applications to the jobs I really desire which will base me back west. Republic has been a great experience but it has meant a long commute home and I don't see that changing anytime soon for any West Coasters coming aboard.

Doubtful, SDF is a maintenance base for Compass. It's our understanding these planes are going to be operated in the Northeast.

Wonder what the recruiters are telling new hires about upgrade times. Just so you guys know the most junior FO awarded an upgrade was hired in December of 2012. Over four years to upgrade here at RAH. If you're chasing an upgrade this is definitely not the place to be. Although we might have the highest pay rates we still have some of the longest upgrade times. So the only real reason to come to RAH would be if you lived near or in one our bases. I'm not saying this is a bad place to work, I'm extremely happy I came to work for RAH back in 2013, but those looking for quick upgrades and captain pay should look at other regionals before coming here. Then again for all you college grades fresh out of flight school with restricted ATPs don't forget that you'll need that 1000hrs of 121 time to upgrade. Pretty sure I broke some kids heart when I told him this. I guess they never told him that back in Florida at his overpriced aviation university.
When I was looking they told me less than that but the junior hire was 2012. So I went with Piedmont which junior upgrade was a year and just recently went to a 7/2016 hire. If you get more planes and people leave it could go down but I went with PDT as we are getting lots of jet deliveries starting next month.
