Leaving off the "s" is grammatically correct after all. Since there's now only one airline there's no need to have the word airline pluralized. Even then it was goofy to be Republic Airlines as it was its own seperate certificate and part of the whole pile under Republic Airways. "Airlines" is one of those strange language things like people saying, "I could care less." Plenty do it even though it's incorrect.

I think you're looking at it incorrectly. Think about the most literal meaning... Air. Lines. Lines in the air. Flying from point A to point B. We do not have a single air line. That is why I believe it is plural, not because of multiple certificates. Why else would virtually every other airline have an 's'? Cruise lines do the same thing.

For the last time...
Chautauqua formed Republic Airline in the late 90's to piggyback off of the Republic Airlines Brand recognition. Republic Airline was only a holder company though. It was not activated until the 2000's when a scope clause issue arose with one of the partners. Republic Airlines was bought/merged into Northwest Airlines and subsequently Delta Airlines, who presumably still owns the trademarks of the original Republic Airlines, since most airlines continue maintaining previous trademarks unless someone wants to the shell the money out for them such as the Pan Am brand.
Since foundation it was always a singular name on every government Form/Certificate. All they are doing now is aligning the public branding with the official name of the company.
The compass birds we are getting later this spring currently have printers installed, but the fate on those is not determined yet. Either deactivating them and leaving them installed or possibly removing them altogether. It sounds like these six plane are not configured like any of our current birds.
