Houston rumors have sort of died down since Mesa got the United 170s that we didn't get. I don't recall at the moment if we do Delta flying out of ORD, but certainly no American flying. There's no functional difference to you as the pilot.

Why does Mesa have more flying with United than Republic does? Shouldn't it be the other way around? 🤔

I don't think they do more flying than we do. We were getting a number of E170s for United. The bankruptcy resulted in United buying the birds and deciding where they went. They sent 12 to us and 12 to Mesa.

Because Mesa can do it cheaper due to the fact that their pilots are treated much worse than we are. United just goes with lowest bidder. I think moving into Houston would be best business decision RAH could make (if they're even allowed to make base decisions anymore, might be up to mainlines, idk). A lot of mesa pilots would jump ship for the same airplane, base, and double the pay. We'd probably get those 12 airplanes back since Mesa wouldn't be able to staff them.

If RAH management were smart they'd going right into IAH and, just like you said, offer those guys the same airplane and base with twice the pay. I wish the best for those who are more senior at Mesa and I know they'd lose seniority. But we can only control our own destiny and they seem to be in trouble as it is. Perhaps that would kickstart some sort of desperation contract from their management, but I'll let them tell you about that likelihood.

To add on to the reserve QOL discussion, I just finished IOE, and started sitting reserve in LGA. However, I live in DC but wasn't awarded DCA until June. With that said I was still able to pickup two DCA 1-day trips next month on days off and another LGA 2-day trip that backs up to a reserve stretch. Roughly an extra $600 after taxes in my pocket on top of guarantee because they are on days off, no complaints here.

Anyone take the ATP-CTP course with Republic? I haven't seen the training information yet but know I have to be in IND first, then CVG, then West Lafayette. A break down of what's done where would be nice. And if any days off?
Looks like I won't be coming home after that either since it ends a day before indoc. I'm checking a pretty large bag for sure.
thanks
