Sure enough, my recruiter was misinformed. After 4 days of ATP-CTP ground a the training center in Indy, we're now flying the E170 sims at Flight Safety CVG.

What a huge leg up to be able to get time in the sim prior to actually beginning class. If anyone is starting class in the future do your best to reserve an in-house ATP-CTP slot.

Would you guys know if Republic would hire a guy who hasn't flown in 7 years? I do have over 3,000 hours of part 121 SIC in several regional jets and have flown heavies internationally. Also, is there a sign on bonus and how much is it? When is it paid and is there a training contract? Thanks!

Sign on bonus is 10K, or 12.5K with ATP and 121 time. First $1,500 paid out first pay period after date of hire - remainder paid in lump sum after completion of IOE.

THIS is a perfect representation of the interview experience. Everyone involved is pleasant, and they go out of their way to make the experience as low-stress as possible.

Looks like the company just increased the signing bonus to $17,500 for current 121 pilots.

FYI

Be someone that they would want to fly next to for hours on end.

Be ready for them to ask why you got the boot.

Other than that, the interview experience is great.
