Well one paycheck a month evaporates to rent, and atleast half of the other towards all other living expenses and paying down training loans. Not much left over at the end of the month to drill holes in the sky for 300/hr, without dipping into the emergency buffer of savings. People love to rag on millenials for all sorts of idiosyncrasies we suposedly have, but this is the economic reality I've been living for 8 yrs since college, and many of my generation find ourselves in precarious financial situations.
I realize it's always been a challenge, but there are very few multi engine gigs nowadays for non atp guys , and all of them seem to require atleast a 1yr commitment.
Which is another year making paltry wages and not advancing the airline career but marginally, even if it's good flying experience. Almost no one is using piston twins anymore, except for rental.
I'm not trying to come off as a whiner, It's an oppertune time to enter 121, just looking for ways to not dig myself any deeper into this hole, while still keeping the career progression on track.

You might want to ask yourself if you belong in a regional jet with that few multiengine hours, and how successful you will be in training if you only have 6 hours in a multiengine airplane.
If you are asking wether to go to Republic or PDT, PDT all day long. Republic has that program where they will pay for your flight time because it is the only way they can get people to go there.
Being such low time, the Dash might help you transition to the jet.

I'll have over 1000 turbine, complex, glass, high altitude all ifr part 135 experience by the time I get there, so my weak area will be the v1 cut but I should be atleast as well prepared as the other candidates in most respects.

Us newer guys at RAH are pretty happy. It's funny you're acting like RAH can't hire anyone when we have hired dozens every month and Piedmont could hardly hire anyone until this new pay raise.
Please do not speak for pilot groups you do not belong to. That seems to be your specialty here on apc though.

Asking the recruiters cannot hurt you. The worse they may say is 'sorry, but I can't get it approved'. Also, the more people ask, the recruiters will start giving this as feedback to their managers that it's a great way to attract applicants.
