What? I'm curious about this trickery (that the MD-11 didn't have).

PACS will sense and imminent tail strike and lower the pitch without feedback to the control column

This was a skip landing. The drama started after 'skipping' when they pushed the nose over.

The FedEx MD-11 bounced to 40' (?!?!) (30' above any other cockpit height above ground readout) and then landed at a 1200 FPM sink rate. First two landings were in the 500-700 FPM range while the LH 747 touchdown is fairly normal. FedEX MD-11 2nd touchdown was nose gear first at approx. -1 pitch attitude while the final landing was at -4 degrees pitch attitude.
